When using the book, "Illusion of Life", to research the principles and process of animation, I decided the best way to visualize my findings was to make an animation.
The main goal was to represent the most important principles and bring them together in order to create an animation. This shows how these principles work together or synthesize. Anticipation was represented in the first few frames, when the character leaned into frame to look at the scene. This made it clear that he knew nothing about the area set before him and was adventuring. I used Squash & Stretch and Timing during the run and jump, making the oval deformed. This was done in order to make the motions and actions more exciting and to make the animation more fluid. In the final scene, when the egg broke, the character showed Exaggeration through his facial expressions when he showed over the top emotions in order to give him more character. He showed Staging in the way he kept and showed his emotions in his movements when exiting.

Upon finding out about all the things Disney has either invented or revolutionized about animation, I found myself asking one question. "What would the world of animation look like now if it weren't for Disney?". Well, to answer that question I first needed to find out what Disney did for animation, then what would it be like without said thing. Disney's creativity and passion for the art of animation allowed for it to become an art in the first place. This was because Disney was the first to treat animation as an art over a genre, it was Disney that inspired so many to treat animation the same way. Animation became an art form when people started treating it like one, and it's all because of Disney.

I made an essay to explain in detail how these different inventions, techniques and principles work and form together to create an animation. This was done through research from both the book and articles.
